TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT...

Not only were formations of the amber balls of light witnessed days before the mass sighting, but there are also reports that the orbs detached from the main object or craft, went out into the environment for a time and then re-docked with it during the Arizona event. In addition, there were witnesses who watched in awe as the gigantic, low, silent object glided slowly right over them, only to take off at a tremendous speed moments later.

Whether there was one object that could morph [and actually blink out when military jets scrambled towards it as it hovered over 7th Avenue and Indian School Roads in Phoenix at 8:20 pm] or a parade of several phenomena occurring simultaneously, we may never know. But one thing is certain...

THE PHOENIX LIGHTS WERE NOT FLARES!

(CNN November 9, 2007) -- In 1997, during my second term as governor of Arizona, I saw something that defied logic and challenged my reality. I witnessed a massive delta-shaped, craft silently navigate over Squaw Peak ... this dramatically large, very distinctive leading edge with some enormous lights was traveling through the Arizona sky. As a pilot and a former Air Force Officer, I can definitively say that this craft did not resemble any man-made object I'd ever seen. And it was certainly not high-altitude flares because flares don't fly in formation. —Fife Symington III

A lot of people saw it, and I saw it too. It was dramatic. And it couldn't have been flares because it was too symmetrical. It had a geometric outline, a constant shape. —Fife Symington III

NEW 2012 RE-ANALYSIS OF THE "AROUND 10 PM VIDEOS" BY NAVY OPTICAL PHYSICIST DR. BRUCE MACCABEE CONFIRMING THE 3 LIGHTS IN DR. LYNNE'S VIDEO ARE UNIDENTIFIED & TO DATE REMAIN HARD EVIDENCE OF THE 3.13.97 MASS SIGHTING

(With written approval by Dr. Maccabee) After years of debunkers and the uninformed proclaiming that ALL the 'around 10 pm' videos were merely military illumination flares, Navy Optical Physicist and respected UFO researcher, Bruce Maccabee, Ph.D., has re-analyzed the 2 boomerang/arc videos (the Krzysten-Rairdon Arc) captured AFTER 10 pm and Dr. Lynne's own video of an equidistant formation of 3 huge orbs captured BEFORE 10 pm. He came to the same conclusion that he did in his 1998 MUFON report.

Dr. Maccabee re-affirms that the lights of the arc videos were at a great distance from Phoenix, probably in the vicinity of the Goldwater Gunnery Range, and most likely military illumination flares deployed by the Maryland ANG. However, with regard to the lights Dr. Lynne witnessed and documented on film, according to Air Traffic Controllers at Sky Harbor IAP they "initially appeared as six equidistant points of light in a massive span at 1000' altitude over Class B restricted airspace". Dr. Maccabee concludes that the three equidistant lights in Dr. Lynne's 3.13.97 footage (three of the six initial lights had disappeared by the time she started videotaping) cannot be positively identified as being three of the lights in the Krzysten-Rairdon arc. According to Dr. Maccabee, "Therefore the lights in Dr. Lynne's 3.13.97 video might be a completely different set of lights closer to Phoenix. They remain unidentified".
